India’s first coal based tolling power project

Power Trading Corporation of  India is set to commission the first ever tolling project having a capacity of 200 MW in Andhra Pradesh. The project would  be the first of its kind initiative in the country. In a tolling project, PTC India”s subsidiary PTC Energy would provide the coal for the developer and the power generated is owned by the company. The power from the same has already been tied up for sale for a period of five months. Another tolling project in Andhra Pradesh, having a capacity of 150 MW is expected to be commissioned in the first quarter of FY 13. PTC India has entered into more than 15,000 MW of PPAs including 1,416 MW of cross border projects. Bihar also needs such short of arrangement
